Rev. Dr. Bessie Duncan

Rev. Dr. Bessie Duncan is an ordained Unity Minister and Interfaith Minister and has been serving as Pastor of Unity Church of Christ since September 1, 2005. Prior to this appointment, she was active within the church as a Sunday Service speaker once or twice a month and consultant and supervisor of Sunday School. She organized the Women of Unity, which she chaired from 1995 to 2000, has led the Wednesday Evening Meditation and Healing Service, and has been a regular in preparing and recording the daily Dial-A-Blessing 3 days a week for over 10 years.   
 
Rev. Dr. Duncan is the 8^th Minister to head the ministry for Unity Church of Christ which was incorporated in 1957 in Bergenfield, then relocated to Teaneck in 1960. It is under her leadership that we were able to move to a much-needed larger facility in Maywood on January 30, 2015. We now call ourselves Unity Church of Christ in Maywood. 
 
Fun Facts: 
Rev. Bessie’s husband, Raymond Duncan, was a retired airline pilot, who also was in charge of the sound/media ministry at Unity Church of Christ. Her favorite color is blue (Royal), and she loves to be at the shore and the Caribbean Islands.
